What is your goal/s for your Local Heroes series in 2016?
We would like to share our musical ideas with the audience, presenting well known masterpieces as well as new exciting works.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Peace in the whole world.
What do you think about when you perform live?
We are fully engaged into the music, trying to do our best to deliver the emotional depth to the listeners.
Which historical figure do you most identify with and why?
Rachmaninov and Dvořák - because their music, by our opinion can't leave anyone untouched.
Where is your favourite place on Earth and why?
At home with our families in Melbourne.
If you could swap places with any other human or animal who or what would you choose and why?
We are happy as we are.
Who is your ideal audience?
Our ideal audience would be to see people of all ages spontaneously responding to our playing.
What colours speak to you? Have you ever experienced synaesthesia?
Blue, pink and purple. We have experienced identification with colours during our playing occasionally, depending from the character of music.
Which living person do you most admire and why?
Meryl Streep, because she is an amazing actor and charismatic human being. She is truly inspirational.
What is your favourite book and why?
Hermann Hesse’s Sidhartha - this book had such a huge influence on me as a teenager.
What is your favourite piece of music and why?
Dvořák's Symphony No.9 from The New World.
How did you come to play your instrument/s?
We both came from the musical families where music was always part of our lives and our parents were a big inspiration for us.
